It was a very busy time, but it was absolutely worth it! We had family over; my In-laws came to visit, and we had a lot of fun. What did I do? I basically cooked. On Christmas day I made my first turkey ever, and it was excellent! Unfortunately, I didn’t take a picture of the whole bird, but I did take other pics, which I will show here:
By the way, I made that blue and yellow scarf my hubby is wearing; it was my present for him.
After Christmas, my in-laws stayed two more days and then left. After resting a bit, today is the first time I managed to come and write a little…
On the subject of movies, I have seen two: Scream 4 and Contagion.
Scream 4 is… well… TERRIBLE. Don’t get me wrong; I liked the other 3. I actually enjoyed all of them a lot, especially the first one. But this one is only an effort to revive something that is just not revivable, if I can say that. Terrible story, terrible performances. Ugh.
Contagion is good; I liked it. It is a little slow (or sometimes a lot), but it does manage to convey the feeling of despair, the craziness. The closest I have been to a situation like this is when there was the outbreak of the AH1N1 virus in Mexico, and I remember it well. It was crazy. But of course, the virus in the movie is a lot more dangerous, which makes the situation much crazier. So, if you don’t mind your movies to be slow, at least at the beginning, you can watch this. It’s not an action flick. It has a great cast, and great performances… but anybody could die!!
Well, this is it for now… I hope you had a merry Christmas, and I wish you all the best for 2012!! Hugs to all, see you soon!
